Missions
|
- Completed commitment of raising $10,000 to rebuild Benson Memorial UMC in Liberia
- Participated in Rebuilding Together
- Sponsored Fifth Sunday lunches
- Sent church members to Henderson Settlement with group from Calvary UMC Annapolis

Evangelism
|
- Provided a greeter at every worship gathering
- Provided fellowship after worship celebrations, including Christmas Eve
- Reached out to guests, followed up with calls and notes, developed action plan
|
Youth Group
|
- Prepared PBJ sandwiches monthly for Lighthouse Shelter
- Attended ROCK
- Participated in fellowship activities and spiritual discussions
- Prepared 24 boxes for Operation Christmas Child
|
Community Outreach
|
- Paid 12 electric bills and 10 heating bills for families in need
- Gas for transportation for six people in need
- Filled eight prescriptions
- Provided Thanksgiving baskets for 16 families
- Made Christmas possible for 16 families
- Paid rent/mortgage for two families in need
- Provided funds for four food calls
- Answered two calls for clothing/shoes
- Provided funds for security deposit to help a family get safe housing

Staff-Parish
|
- Facilitated smooth transition to new pastor, July 2009
- Completed conference evaluation for pastor and congregation
- Established "Safe Sanctuary" policy for church

Music Ministry
|
- Offered approximately 65 acts of praise at worship gatherings
- Offered special music for Easter, Pentecost and Christmas
- Seeker Singers provided music for funeral of church member
- Grew membership of Carillon, Voices From Heaven and Adult Choir

Congregational Care Team

- Visited sick in hospital and at home
- Quarterly visits to homebound
- Covered for pastor on 2-3 day absences

Lay Leadership Development
|
- Lay leaders each committed to practicing a spritual discipline
- trained worship leaders and youth lay readers for worship
- Nominated individuals to fill vacancies in leadership positions

United Methodist Women
|
- Established UMW purpose within the church and community
- Held meetings on first Tuesday of each month, with a program

Christian Education
|
- Vacation Bible School participation: 70 children and 40 adults
- Seekers adult Bible class increased membership
- Held first 8-week series on "God for Beginners"
- Completed playground project
